Friends of American Writers (FAW) was established in 1922 with the purpose of specifically fostering good literature. FAW continues this role by granting scholarships to deserving MFA students, and through the Friends of American Writers Literature Awards. The membership meets monthly at the Lathrop House, home to The Fortnightly of Chicago, where we enjoy a beautiful luncheon and enriching program.
